Is the Great Emigration next?

We already had the Great Resignation.

It appears everyone is considering leaving the United States for various reasons.

  • Politics
  • Cost of Living
  • Lack of Gun Reform
  • Women’s Rights
  • Taxes
  • Climate Change
  • Lack of Community

However, it’s a lot of talk right now. Contrary to what we see on social media, most Americans are staying put.

According to Brookings, the pace at which Americans are emigrating is actually at an all-time low.

Although many Americans have entertained the idea of moving to another country, the truth is that it is very expensive and time-consuming.

You need to pay for flights, moving companies, visa/consulate fees, and rental agent fees. One couple reported that it cost them around $25,000 to get settled into a new county. Newsweek

There are many things to consider when feeling like you want to relocate outside of the country. I have created two categories to help with the decision-making.
