Shorter Length Trips Make Travel More Accessible

You don't need to go far and long to call it a vacation.

I would rather see more and do more than take only one long trip a year.

We recently stayed in a hotel 15 minutes away from home. We stayed for two nights. I never expected that to feel like a “real” trip.

Surprisingly, we genuinely felt like we got away. We came home feeling the same as if we would have taken a long road trip. Refreshed.

Don’t get me wrong, we came back feeling less excited than when we returned from the all-inclusive in Mexico, but just as relaxed.

I learned that trips can be close to home and short and still be as enjoyable.

Of course, you always want to stay longer when you’re having fun, but you have to ask yourself if you will be satisfied with this one trip or do you want to experience more.

My family and I want more.

Shorter trips are also more affordable. In today’s economy, we are all hesitant to spend a lot of money. And with good reason. There is a lot of uncertainty.

However, to lead a well-balanced life, we need to have things to look forward to. It doesn’t have to be a trip. It can be a massage, facial, or coffee date.
