The Stranger in the Lifeboat
Mitch Albom’s latest book has inspired me to bring something back into my life.
I found myself reading this book any chance I got. It’s like when you get reacquainted with a long-lost love. You feel giddy and excited.
After a hectic year of working and going to school reading wasn’t as fun. I couldn’t seem to get into any book that I picked up. Now that I am on summer break from work (not from school), I look forward to reading many books.
As I was reading this book, I kept thinking that it would be fun to talk about this book with people. The content of all of Mitch Albom's books makes for great conversations.
I was so inspired by this book that I text my old book club even before finishing the book and asked them if they wanted to have a summer book club. About half of them quickly responded, yes!
Reading books at the same time as others is great for the soul. It is fun to share messages while reading without giving anything away. Meeting in person to talk about it is just as great especially if there is food and drinks involved.
