Things I want to Hold on to as the World Re-Opens

I longed for the day to see loved ones and to visit places that we had not been to in a while. Being fully vaccinated was the only thing holding me back.

Lockdown was hard, but it was also a blessing. What I am struggling with now that I am fully vaccinated is how do I hold on to the positive things learned and acquired during lockdown.

Spending so much time with my kids, my home and my husband has really highlighted what is important to me. Although, I do value working and contributing to my household in a financial manner, there are other ways that I can contribute that are just as valuable.

There are choices to be made.

So first question, do I want to keep working? I do. I love my job. However, I don’t want to work 40 hours via a 9–5. My goal is to work a reduced schedule so that I can have more time to work on other projects that make me happy. I also would love more time to care for my girls.

Working 40 hours does not allow time for other projects unless I want to not sleep. I value well-being so no, that is not an option.

How can we preserve what we have come to value during the pandemic?

Time together.
