The last book I read was by the Dalai Lama, Advice on Dying and Living a Better Life.

It’s one of those books that isn’t going to wow you on any level. It will tell you what you already know but don’t want to think about. After reading the book, I feel more at peace and excited about life and death.

I love it. Have you ever read the Heart Sutra? Ancient Buddast text? It's like a page long. Check it out if you haven't.

So how are you living your life knowing that you are going to die?

Oh I'm doing alright. Made peace with the whole thing forever ago. That ol' Nietzsche thing of "you had no choice but to be born in the world. Now that you're here, you have no choice but to leave."

An excellent article, Mariela, and one of the most important I have seen on Medium. I hope more people are guided to it.
